Because you wouldn't know truth if someone told you the truth and said it was a lie, thinking you'd know it was a lie, yet they meant it as true and the truth really was a lie, so now you think of the truth as a lie because you can't tell the differnece between lying and truth-telling-ness becuase this person has issues when it comes to telling people the truth, and if they always tell and lie and then tell the truth, that's one terrible lair indeed.
