Not many can accept changes that easily. Just gotto be patient. Beside, real life commitments usually outweighs online commitments.
Maybe, though the last time I tried that people were mostly just annoyed. I have to confess I don't have as much time as I used to though. I probably could've brought a lot more to the site a couple of years ago than now.
I think you should volunteer or make suggestions for project relevant to technical stuff or the site? Eventually they will notice your expertise and dedication. I think that is how most of the staff here got their position.
If offered a position I doubt I'd turn it down, but it depends to a certain extent what they'd want me to do. I don't much enjoy moderation, but I'd be willing to work on site or technical stuff.
But are you interested to be a staff here?
Well, yeah, one could hope. But I doubt the staff look at it that way. :<
