I'm not great at puzzle solving and it didn't keep me interested enough to actually care to try for very long. VLR seems to have more characters that interest me though and I'm ~expanding my gaming horizons~ more lately so I was thinking of trying it
Oh. OK. Then don't try VLR THough it is slightly less gory. Zero Time Dliemma will be much gorier, though. What exactly did you not like about it?

Try 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors first. I mean, you can play VLR standalone, but it is still a sequel, albeit a subtle one. But you won't get that "BAM!" feeling if you just go straight to VLR
Wendee Lee is in a lot of games I enjoy! I have also added Virtue's Last reward to my to play list. Dunno if it'll be my deal but it's worth a shot
I mean, what's the deal? Is Troy too expensive now or what? Does that make Matt Mercer the poor man's Troy Baker? If that's the case, that's really sad and now I just wanna hug Matt, especially since he voices a very huggable character in Pillars of Eternity I don't thinkg I've heard of Carrie Keranen! Hmm... Looking at her resume, I only know her from Danganronpa 2, but that character didn't have a lot of speaking lines, so I don't think she had the chance to leave an impression on me. But I'm glad you enjoy her One VA that joined my favorites quite recently is Erin Fitzgerald. I didn't really care much for her as Agnes in BD, but she was a fantastic replacement for Chie (MUCH better than the original, IMO), and I just loved her as crazy psycho killer in Danganronpa. Though I think few VAs are so deserving of respect as Wendee Lee. I mean, she's basically in everything, but it's never obvious. Well, sometimes it is, but most of the times you're just playing a game and several hours into listening to the characters speak you're like HOLY CRAP THAT'S WENDEE LEE!!!!

She's actually in a lot of games I've played. She's in the Atelier games, Tales of Xillia, Hyperdimension games, FE: Awakening, Disgaea, Luminous Arc 2, Suikoden IV, and Star Ocean 3. Pretty good range! One actress I really like lately, she's been in a lot less but, Carrie Keranen. She does Sara in Trails of Cold Steel that I'm playing now and she is EXCELLENT. It's another Rise situation where I stop to listen to everything. She's also in Hyperdimension and Tales of Zestiria
On voice actors! I just remembered something. So Troy Baker originally voiced Kanji, right? Then, since Arena Ultimax, he has been replaced by Matt Mercer, and he sounds identical. Like. I'm not even joking, I would never have guessed they changed voice actors, and I have a keen ear. So Troy Baker also voiced an important character in Virtue's Last Reward. I recently saw a trailer for Zero Time Dilemma, a sequel, and was pleased to hear his voice there when I saw that character reappear. But guess what! IT'S FRIGGIN MATT MERCER AGAIN WTFFFF
For me, the biggest surprise was when I found out she also voiced Cloud of Darkness. I was like whaaaaaaaaaaa I heard Michelle Ruff has a pretty great range as well. I mean, I wouldn't know because I've only ever heard her voice Yukari. But then again, maybe I have heard her voice somewhere else but didn't recognize her?
