  1. Oh yeah, a certain someone made me listen to a whole Mars Volta album. Tetragammation or some weird name like that; and all the songs had super-weird names too. Vermicide O_O etc etc. It was...very instrumental. Like I said, vocals are so important to me ;____; I mean, yeah PF are prog to a certain extent, but they have a balance. ;D But The MV -- great, amazing instrumentals.
  2. Believe me Resha, if you like progressive rock such as Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Yes, King Crimson...

you'll really like Hot Rats. It's not as experimental as his usual stuff... the songs are longer and instrumental, and more complex, but all the random time signatures and wierd instrumentation is gone (except for maybe the track "the Gumbo Variations"). There's also some of his best early guitar work.
  3. Haha, I'm here just in time for the Zappa discussion again. xD Well I kinda told you my feelings on it but hey, he's hailed as the greatest ever by a great many. ;D I

I guess the word might be too expiremental... too complex.. too busy?

The first time I listened to Zappa, I thought, what is this sh*t?

But then I bought Hot Rats, and eventually expanded my collection to about 20 albums. The more you listen to him, the more you love his style.

Please, try listening to Hot Rats before you make your mind up about Zappa.
  5. Well, he probably did die from cancer Shiny, but he had been struggling from schizophrenia regardless.
  6. Cruise Control for CAPS LOCK!
  7. Syd didn't write Another Brick in the Wall, Shiny!

But he did write such classics as Astronomy Domine, Bike, Interstellar Overdrive and See Emily Play.

Unfortunately he just died a short time ago at 60, after years of battling schizophrenia.
  8. We'll start a nuclear-war...at the gay bar. Wait, is that the song we're discussing? Electric Six? =_=
  9. ... Just like early Pink Floyd.
  10. Hello, good Vincent, Thunder God. How are you DOing? For time.

And yeah that is a pretty pretty blue.
