  1. Yeah, definitely. I'd hunt and kill any animal if I needed to. But I don't think I'd just go and hunt to eat one, seen as there's lots of other food around that I like and can live off!

Ah man, that's so cool. What job do you do there? I would do anything to just get a ticket there. But where would I live? How would I find shelter? These things i do not know. Maybe one day I'll plan it out.
  2. would you eat a fish if you caught it yourself? i've been watching a bunch of joe rogan podcasts lately and he often talks about how he now only eats meat that he hunts himself. hunting for sport is something i find utterly abhorent and impossible to comprehend but he also often talks about how the meat industry is terrible and he feels like if he's going to eat meat or whatever every grizzly part of it should be done by his own hand, which I can respect.

also, because I got utterly sick of England and always wanted to come here. I came on holiday in 2010 and that sealed the deal for wanting to be here. graduated, eventually got a job, saved up the bare minimum required to qualify, bought a one way ticket and just came. basically ran out of money, actually made the call back to england to say "evidently this is not going to work, get me a ticket back", made one last hail-mary job application, got accepted, still here.
  3. I don't agree with the way the industry is run and how the animals live/die. It's not like I think me not eating meat will make a difference, and I don't mind what anyone else does, but one thing is while I'm working I hate the thought that I am working for money that will then go towards something I don't agree with, you know? Almost like my working is contributing directly towards it. That's the main thing. I feel much better at work knowing none of the hours I put in are going towards something that I don't want it to.

I wish so badly to visit Japan though! Maybe one day. Definitely one day. Why/how are you there?
  4. japan is not a friendly place for vegetarians unfortunately. it's kinda difficult to find vegetarian places! that being said, they do some full on amazing trout with tofu, god damn.

what made you decide to go veggie?
  5. I'm a vegetarian and sushi is the one thing I desperately miss more than anything. I literally buy rice wrapped in seaweed, coat it with soy sauce and wasabi and pretend that it is actual sushi.
  6. yeah i'm going through a phase of forcing myself to try one new type of sushi every time i go to a sushi place. it's going predictably badly
  7. I am jealous though! So much amazing food you can eat I can only dream of.
  8. it's insanely hard to find baked beans in tokyo. especially good ones. and sausage rolls. and cornish pasties. and oh god why
  9. Yes, and indeed they were on toast! Why can you not now!?
  10. baked beans? if so I am eternally jealous. I would love to eat beans on toast one more time.
