What exactly is all the fighting about?
No the house burning were ethnic cleaning. Getting my kind out of the house so their kind could move in. My brother's best friend & his mum died when their house was burned, they didnt want Catholics living there. The riots were civil disturbances in protest at something, happened on both sides & could last a week at times, usually during the Marching Season when Protestants march in celebration of victory over us & demand the right to do it in Catholic areas (used to be they were ALWAYS allowed) only recently with the EU and Bill Clinton its been stopped, they can still match just not in Catholic areas, its complicated.
I see. Were the riots just a brawl that got out of hand or was it outright war? I can't imagine someone straight out attacking someone else's house.
aint so bad now fella, fighting has mostly stopped, just sporadic from splinter groups.
It seems like it would be tough living over there, especially as close to the riots as you are.
