Yeah, I guess I could call them but I really should be getting a real job... The public school system is awful. I guess the best way to sum up the problem with it is to say... everything is your fault. If a kid fails,their parents don't get and the kid doesn't get , you get . If you call a parent and tell them their kid is way behind and acting like an ass, they can tell you "I don't care" and you are somehow expected to teach their child both manners and math with only detentions as a threat. Until students and their parents are held accountable for this supposed "compulsory" education, the whole system is just plain smurfed. So there you go.
That blows. How unprofessional. They could at least call you with their decision, it's not like it's that hard to pick up a phone. I've been meaning to ask you what you think of the teaching profession as well. I'm going to school in the fall and was thinking about teaching but I'm not 100% sold on it.
The interviewer really liked me and said she'd call me for a second interview, but she never did. I'm grossly over-qualified for the positions they're offering, but I still want to go to Disneyland for free. ;_;
