Static images are loaded to your own browser's cache. The link you get when you view them are for you only. Nobody else can see them because they aren't in their cache. Clear your cache and log back in, then tell me if you still see it. It doesn't show up at all unless I quote your post, in which case it appears as a broken image link.
That's strange, it is even showing up in your quote. I have posted tons of images in the same fashion.
I checked the page source and apparently you linked a static image from funnyjunk. You can't link static images. Save the image and upload it to imgur or something.
