You used to be able to see the scored if they were positive or negative. This lead to people down voting things that were already in negative. Now it stops at 0 but you can still work it out based on the voting ratio. in this case 50% up means 0 score.
I read the comments, they really weren't that bad. Didn't notice a negative vote unless the count wasn't always set at zero. Being bummed out by a 7 seems silly, but I blame the number score inflation for that. Part of the reason I abandoned the number system.
Of the comments, one person complained you only gave it a 7/10, and one person talked about how the battle system itself was pretty bland. There was also only a single negative vote which implies to me that not many people actually viewed the post, but still 100 views to your blog :P. Nothing in there about the writing style at all tbh.
