Nah, they both have about the same learning curve. ProTools is just MUCH more expensive. You can't even pirate it, because it comes with specific hardware that has to be installed on your computer, along with certain external hardware that has to be connected to your computer.
Hmm, would ProTools be easier? Which would you recommend I get? I'm sure there are tutorials for both.
There's definitely a learning curve, but you can find a few tutorials online. Once you learn the basics, it's really easy to navigate.
Is it easy to use? I've been thinking of throwing together something.
I use Sonar's Cakewalk! Other than ProTools, it's the best thing you could use to record.
Well, I guess I'm "lucky" that I never really had to deal with any of that. Haha. Oh, man. That sounds awesome. What do you use to record?
Most of the people that one has to deal with in this industry are absolute assholes who think that is "artistic" or "new age" or something, even though is sucks horribly. Yeah, it's awesome. I wanna buy a nice mic for myself sometime after I get back to work, but I need to save for college first, so it'll be awhile before I have anything posted with a vocal track. I'm planning on doing multiple Final Fantasy hip-hop remixes, but that won't be until I have a nice ribbon mic.
Well, I suppose better to learn from that sooner rather than later. And that's cool, I know I'd be setting things aside if I were to move in with BP. Do what you have to do, man. Have fun!
Ah, it's all good. I learned a lot about how smurfed up the music industry really is just by hanging with him. I'm taking time off from creative stuff now that Jesswee's all moved in. We're gonna spend some time familiarizing ourselves with cohabitating, and then I'll start working on recording and writing again. Right now, I'm just chilling, playing video games, looking for a job, and straightening things out.
Dude, what a shady character. smurf that cat. Shame you had to deal with that though. Niiice. Sounds like fun, man.
