  1. Well fair enough then. I'm planning on playing tomorrow evening my time, as there's a big football game tonight (REAL football, not that one where you actually use your feet ). I might get on later tonight just to see how the game plays on my laptop and to see if I need to adjust any settings.
  2. Also, I think that while you should join Sargatanas for now in order to get to know most of us, it will probably be worth considering that there will undoubtedly be two EoFF groupings soon enough, one on a US server and one on the EU server. I suspect most EoFFers will end up on the US server, to be honest, and Smitten and I will live it up with the very neat little family we have built up over the past year. For the US server, I suggest new people flood to whichever server Ouch! and Rostum go with.
  3. That's normal with FF MMO's because your one character can do everything. Having multiple characters means having double the work, and that's not something many consider fun. The only people I ever see use multiple characters do so for inventory space reasons or to have an alt that can power level their main character. Having said that, in A Realm Reborn there will be an option for people who don't have Legacy to pay a little more and have up to 40 characters with a maximum of 8 on any one server. So it's up to you how you want to do it.

Race means pretty much bugger all outside of aesthetics and classes can be changed from the moment you get the tools/weapons, so don't worry about your starting setup. It will mean bugger all soon enough!
  4. So my game finished patching and is all registered, but am I reading this Options stuff right, or do I really have to pay a fee for each character? Is that recurring? How incredibly lame. At least that seems to be going away with 2.0.
  5. Hey, my FFXIV is patching now, and I'm planning on playing in the next day or two. Can you recommend some good race/class setups for a newbie?
  6. Oh, I thought "Developer" was above "Editor." xD I should have remembered that you're useless!
  7. I was going to do this then I realised upon hitting 'promote to article' that I have no idea what the standards settings are for the multitude of options listed. I think you're better off nudging one of the editors for this. D=
  8. *poke* (probably warrants being put up on the frontsite)
