Hahaha. What I've heard actually made me not want to read the books, how basically a number of plots were solved because Richard just figures something out of thin air.
Well the major plots for the rest of the books usually involve a non-physical threat. But even those get old after a while when the cure often is "Richard magically solves everything at the last minute." I do like the 6th book, though. It adds a bit of political allegory and more of a well-written story. Books 8-11 are virtually unreadable. Book 8 especially has the worst example of deus ex machina.
That's actually pretty off-putting. He must lose the sword a lot for there to be an tension.
Well for the first book-and-a-half, Richard has no actual sword-fighting skills. After that he is basically invincible for the rest of the series.
Seriously though, how is there conflict when he can just cut through anything?
Allegedly. I have doubts that it could cut through Loony BoB's head.
Wes, is it true that the Sword of Truth can cut through anything?
Fix what? It's working as designed.
It is rather annoying for someone -- like me -- who habitually clicks all over the screen for the link in your sig to encompass the ENTIRE sig area instead of just the image. You should fix this.
I know what you're talking about. xD
