The Necrohol is a nasty place in general, as for Cuchalain, what is your team set-up?
I’ve confirmed it with other people. That’s the pronunciation the localizers went with, apparently, and I only noticed because of headphones! I’m a bit dejected today. I’ve failed two hunts in the Necrohol of Nabudis, and I got my ass handed to me by Cúchulainn. I don’t know whether I should find a place to grind to finish the things up or just make my way through the Feywood and come back after Giruvegan. For now, I’m just kinda sad
Odd, could be an accent slip though.
Another weird thing I noticed - the d in Reddas is apparently pronounced like a th sound. Reddas, Vaan, and Balthier all said it that way and I had headphones on, so I doubt it was audio issue.
Roblon was the first Mark Hunt to give me serious trouble and I think I needed Slowga to finally make that fight work for me.
So I can’t beat Roblon because of those smurfing skeletons. I did beat Carrot though despite it being both a higher rank and an elite mark
Oddly, I don't feel like I've played as many as some people. It was one of the first Tactical RPGs made for the PlayStation and was jointly developed by the same studio that made Front Mission for Square-Enix before it was bought out by them. It was one of the first RPGs to have CGI Cutscenes, and to use the Save Data transfer feature. The first game is pretty vanilla, but the sequel is a vast improvement and frankly feels like a game that Square may have been borrowing ideas from for FFVII. There is actually some amusing historical anecdotes about the title cause Sony refused to give the rights of the games for Western publishing until the head of SCEA stepped down and the RPG market changed in the West.
Oh yeah I’ve seen that! It’s hinestly kind of intimidating how many games you’ve played What makes Arc the Lad unique as an RPG?
Now that I've kind of got my Dark Souls fix, and can wait a bit on DSIII, I've been blogging about a few titles that I wanted to put on my Top 100 but felt they weren't as strong for me as I would like. Course, this also means I need to play through a couple of them to remember what it was that fell short for me, so I am currently going back through the Arc the Lad Trilogy.
The difficulty curve is much lower. I was actually kind of disappointed how badly I thrashed the Hell Wrym when I got around to fighting him. Hell, if Omega didn't have Darkja, I would have destroyed him my first attempt and my actual victory match largely involved Basch killing the poor guy before he even had a chance to cast his paling. Like he did a ten hit combo and finished him in the very opening of the fight.
