So tomorrow is St. Patrick's day, which is my name day, and name days are kind of a big deal in Poland, so yay I mean, not to the degree birthdays are, but still, it's something. And yet in the past people actually only celebrated name days, and birthdays were only later imported through Western culture. So now your name day is like a mini-birthday you get some other time in the year.
