You know what the odds of that happening are though Although, at the same time, what with Monolith doing very well lately, SE might wanna capitalize on that by collaborating on a Xenogears remake. That would be pretty awesome actually
They just need to do a new Xenogears or Chrono Trigger project and bring him on to work on them.
Too bad that, likr most FFXV guest composers, he composed like three tracks - the rest are arrangements by some other guys
I wish he composed more as well. Hell, I wish Squenix would outsource him more for projects. I've heard great things about the score he did for the Episode Ignis DLC.
Listening to the XC2 soundtrack today and pieces like this are why I really miss Mitsuda and wish so much that he would compose more I’m honestly surprised with how well-arranged this is, and I say that as someone who’s spent a considerable chunk of his life in a choir
Yes. I mean, movement wise they’re a bit harder to control than just going on foot and combat doesn’t feel as, idk, robust as ground comvat? (No secondary cooldpwns, for example), but then that’s made up for by the fuel management mechanic making an awesome comeback from Xenogears, though it doesn’t work exactly like it, it’s still making me think about managing my tobot’s energy a lot. Plus, the scale change is just amazing. The world looks way different from up high and moving around is much faster. It’s also easier to grind levels - I’m pretty sure exp depends only on level, but the monster’s overall difficulty depends not just on that, but also on what size you are in comparison. So I can beat enemies that are higher in level but much smaller and then my levels soar. Overall though, it’s much like Xenogears in that Skell combat depends on the money you put into it rather than experience, though your character levels are still important as they determine which Skells you can ride. The one you get for free is level 20, then there’s a selection of level 30, 50, and 60 types in the post game. I’ve also only piloted a light type Skell so far, but there are also medium and heavy types, all with their advantages and disadvantages (medium is what I’ll ptobably be getting next).
That is good, are they fun to use?
There’s always tomorrow! At least you didn’t lose the whole weekend Meanwhile, I have wrecked my Skell once. But it’s all good because I just need one more level to buy a new Skell that will be much better than the last one!
Better than me, I got zilch done today.
I did get some done actually. Not a lot, in fact it was very little, but it was something!
