Throw the rock onto the number and then hop in all the squares except for the rock you have thrown on. Then you return and pick up the rock on the way. Back at the start throw the rock on the next number (you usually got from 1-2-3-etc) and do the same again. You win when you reach the highest number. There are also other sets of rules. Those are the ones I usually play with.
