Exactly! It's so refreshing to see a Catholic-inspired religion in Japanese media that is actually completely benevolent. I also liked how the trope was played with in Bravely Default, in that the Crystalist religion was presented as corrupt, but not wrong and not in need of being completely rejected. I'm happy Japanese creators are getting more and more insightful about this (except Toriyama cough cough) have you heard about that movie recently? I can't remember the name, but it got Oscars and it stars Michael Keaton and it's about people unmasking paedophilia in the Church. People were surprised the Vatican actually endorsed it, even though, really??? Where have you been when Benedict XIV started the war on paedophilia to such a big extent and now Francis is taking it klike fifty steps further?????
Well that sounds nice, actually. I'm playing a game now where so far the Church is not the big evil even though they're clearly the Catholic Church. Let's hope it stays that way. While I appreciate the corrupt Church message in some games, it seems its all the time and its like come on now xD One of the things I like about DQ
So SMT IV Final is apparently all about God being actually a Big Good. Which is a big twist for the series.
Oh, I know Kinda why I prefer work. I may work Monday to Friday five days a week, but if I don't get an extra translation assignment (that I get paid for), I am free from everything when at home
