Being tied with you would be okay; we'd probably play a match as a decider and you'd kick my butt and I'd cry. But I've been getting some better strategies and better cards too so I'm feeling a little more confident as I go!
The Open rule really is the biggest pain in the butt I could possibly ask for, but to make it worse, there is no "combo" in my bracket. In other words, Plus can't really get me all that far unless I get plus multiple times, taking over every opposing card while protecting my own somehow while I'm at it. xD If I can just somehow go all the way up to 8-2, though, then... that would put us even. *hopes Quin will make lots of mistakes*
I was sitting on 9-1 before the final card and it was only the blasted Elemental that burned me. I just have to hope your bracket - and the other one - don't get lucky with Plus Hopefully the Open rule is the bane of your existence :P
Haha, thanks. He did have worse cards though, so yeah... I made sure to cover every option available. Still, it was only a 6-4 win, meaning I'll need quite a bit more "taken over cards" if I want a chance to make it as the runner up (I doubt Rantz will lose, but you never know, I guess). So I have to aim to not only beat Quin, but win a lot. Which might be hard. =O ...your match with Jowy puts you in a very good position though.
Watching your game against Mirage, you really didn't give him a whole lot of options. Powerfully played!
I think I actually should have used that same Cactuar deck against Rantz. Instead, I picked random cards without really having a plan in mind. I got too cocky with my Ifrit. Curse you, Ifrit! xD
Loony BoB was talking about how badass Giant Cactuar was; I really need to grind a little to build my magic deck like you have
I usually go for 4x Cactuars + 1x Gargantua. I also have 2 "preset tactics" for that deck that allows me to play and win or get a draw quickly most of the time while hardly even needing to care about what the computer is playing, UNLESS the computer puts down cards in places that doesn't follow its usual pattern, in which case you need to stop and think a bit. Also, there is a certain Ultima Weapon + Mobile-thingy method that can counter the Cactuar rampage sometimes. But at least 90% of the time, I can win by just using the same two different tactics (which one depends on whenever the computer starts or not, basically).
What cards are you using to play against the Doc? :o
Well... I don't really have any trouble winning those cards anyway, so yeah. The average time for a match against the computer is like 30 seconds, and I lose for being too hasty only like once every 10 matches at most.
