Exactly. I haven't had much of a go with it yet, but the things that I've seen are pretty nice. You can make a food shopping list, allowing you to quickly and easily buy the food you want from places, which is suprisingly useful! xD I also know that you can try to persuade your king to go to war, if you are his vassal. Damn cool. Have a Google, and you'll find the list of features. Aye, cockups are common. That's why you always make a backup. .... bollocks.
That's exactly what I need. Diplomacy is something I wanted to do, I have such high persuasion and it's all for naught. I don't like steam rolling my enemies like a bloody wave descending on the land and leaving nothing behind... well I mean, I would like to talk to people sometimes too smurfing around in notepad is great except you never really know if you broke something. I prefer working with coding programs where everything is listed a lot nicer.
Haha, I know exactly what you mean, man. Exactly. It's disturbing, really. Yup. You know what you boot up, and you get the Play Mount and Blade/Configure etc screen? In the drop menu, it says Native. That's the Module it's running. But some mods create completely new Modules which you boot off of. It's incredible. The Diplomacy mod is one such thing. It is essentially the same as native, but with whole new menu and dialogue options. Pretty gnarly. I cocked it up, however. My heraldry textures aren't loading on shields or armour, so I must've accidentally deleted something. Sigh. I hope I don't lose my save file...
I have spent a lot of time with this game. It's unhealthy. Suddenly it's like 5am and the sun is blaring in my windows and I've got trout to do and I'm like "oh smurf" xD That's my main gripe though, it's got so much replay value but oh smurf it's just way too much of a time investment. I'll have to just cheat to make sure it's still fun as well. What's the go with the Diplomacy Module? I've not got that option so I assume it's a mod you have to add?
Haha, alright Mr Showoff! I've started a new game in the Diplomacy module. I thought it would just add stuff to Native, but it actually creates its own module! Pretty nifty. It's a nuisance to have to find everything all over again, though, so I'm shamelessly teleporting and boosting because I just cannot be arsed! I'm gonna have to restart my relationship again too. It'd be like the Blackhawk in Fallout 3. That revolver was delicious.
Well I personally own like 6 cities and countless castles, and I just don't remember which one is our "home" xD A sight on a pistol would be ridiculously OP. Especially if it had modern day levels of scoping. Just throw a 12x sniper scope on a flintlock for good measure xD
Hot balls! I'm also downloading the Arena Overhaul mod. It completely customises all the arenas, as opposed to them just being the same boring patch of green! I'm very excited to try it out. Oh man, imagine if you could actuall put a sight on a flintlock pistol. That'd be ridiculous, haha. How on earth does one misplace their wife? Ask a traveller, or another lady, where she is! Yeah, it might be a bit boring. I only thought about it recently, which is why I've calmed down on the sieging and conquering front. Presumably I'll get to keep all my places, though.
I should've done that actually, the battle count was still 80 odd so I just got trampled. Took out a few, at least! I'll have to get that pistol tomorrow and give it a whirl, although I do really like my bow. Ah well, Eaglesight applies to guns too! I eloped with Lady Ruha which pissed her family off but we were in love so smurf 'em. Both her father and brother became traitors to the Khanate but I avoided them on the battlefield out of respect for my wife. I've misplaced her though I think I'll end up starting a new game when I want to be king, because it'd be a bitch to go and conquer all of these cities again for myself.
2 vs. 800 is somewhat stacked against you. Shoulda taken the battle count down to 4 haha. I've decided I'm gonna eradicate the Veigars (sp?) and Nords soon. First I'm going to marry Lady Sonadel, because Count Grainwad is reall cool and marrying into their family might set me up with loads of Swadian connections. Also, she's one of the few Ladies that isn't completely repulsive. After that, I'm going to denounce King Harlaus and start taking properties for my own kingdom!
"Shift + `", type "cheatmenu". Camp, Take An Action, there'll be an option to obtain an item. The pistol and cartridges are somewhere in there! When you wanna get rid of it, "Shift + `", type "nocheatmenu". Haha, it's horrible losing your men. I finally got my perfect army (50 Swadian Knights, 20 Huscarls, 20 Rhodok Sharpshooters), but then I took a castle and had to garrison some. I'm just off to download the Diplomacy mod; it allows you, among many other things, to hire people to take care of your properties. One of the available options is to manage hiring troops for garrison, so it would save me traipsing all over the map to recruit people and training them up only to put them away somewhere.
