Oh man, you get to play the "fun" one. By which I mean the one that is going to kick your ass a lot.
Original. I might get the 3D remakes of III and IV at a later date.
It's an improved FFI with a better job system. Are you doing the original or the 3D remake?
I already know V will be fun since I played some of it already when I was a kid. I'm going into FFIII completely blind.
Well III and V will be fun. XI is fun too but I'll agree PlayOnline is a nuisance.
I, II, III, V, X, XIII, and XIV for the mainline games. XI might be added to that list if I ever feel like trying to figure out that stupid Play Online trout. Feel bad that mom got it for me as a Christmas gift and I can't even play the damn thing. After the mainline games I'll probably look at the spinoffs and stuff, like Tactics, Crystal Chronicles, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, and if the demand is big enough for it *sighs* the FFXIII sequels.
Which ones are those?
Read my mind. I can't speak about FFXIV (beyond the disaster that was the original version) since I still haven't gotten around to playing it yet, and it may be a while. After FFVI I plan to go back to the first game and play the ones I haven't reviewed yet in order.
Yeah, they really were trying to go that way. It tried to hard to emulate better games while missing the entire point of what made those games fun in the first place.
All of Final Fantasy XIII was them trying too hard to make the next Final Fantasy VII. They wanted to duplicate the game's success and have Lightning at the lead and it backfired on them.
