Conversation Between Fynn and Wolf Kanno

  1. Okay so we just finished season six and started season seven, though we’ll probably take a break here to watch Millennium. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the season. It really didn’t have a lot of bad or boring episodes - like, two at most. The best thing was that pretty much every episode, from the mythology to the MOTW episodes, had a more or less overt focus on Mulder and Scully’s feelings for each other. Whether it’s characters being parallels to how they should just get it on already themselves or just seeing how much their bond transcends pretty much anything else seen on TV, whether you interpret it as romantic or not (and I really can’t see how you could see it as anything but that at this point, and I was a Mulder-Scully-romance-skeptic from day one), I loved it so much and I feel CHEATED that they didn’t bring us a resolution to that in the finale/7thbseason premiere. I really hope that they do get together pretty soon because I don’t think another season so brimming with sexual tension would impress me as much as this one.
  2. I think it's because it's so easy to get turned around in there that most people get lost.

She's been pretty interesting though getting her was a bitch and required me to look up a part, because it involved keeping a battle going long enough to hear all the dialogue between characters, one of which you needed to not only recruit, but immediately start using. She definitely has way better stats for a Valkyrie/Rune Fencer than I've been able to get with my Generics. I feel bad for the Dragoon I started raising because I just recruited a story version, and he's already better despite both characters still using the same skill sets. The cool thing about Raveness is that she can be promoted to White Knight once the class is unlocked.
  3. I just beat the sewers and thought they were pretty fun, actually! I have no idea where that criticism comes from.

Really jealous you got Ravness, since she looks really cool and I love that she’s an Agrias expy but she sadly does in the non-law routes
  4. Ah the infamous sewer dungeon everyone hates. I'm still in Chapter 3 of Tactics Ogre. Just recruited Raveness and defeated Balbatos of Galgastan. Heading back to Alimorica to finish off the last of the Galgastan forces and rescue Vyce. In XII, I'm on my way to Giruvegan.
  5. It’s true. You can tell the team was inexperienced but they still did a hell of a good job making a game that’s really immersive and just gets you hooked. I’m currently in Nortune and Rico has just joined me to clear the sewers.
  6. I always felt it was better than what people gave it credit for as a game. It has some rough spots of course but most games do, especially in the PlayStation 1 era.
  7. Funny how a lot of things that bothered me about Xenogears in the past don’t bother me at all anymore. I’m having kind of the opposite of my recent FFVII replay - everything is just so much better than I remember it being
  8. It's all groovy. I've only had a moment here and there to brainstorm more ideas. Course my Queen II album showed up in the mail, so that should help.
  9. Oooh definitely!

Btw, sorry I haven’t gotten back to you on the book stuff yet. I was quite busy lately but now that I have my phone again, it should be easier for me to reply. So I hope you’ll have just a bit more patience
  10. We can always do one on Ivalice as well.
