Though I must admit the game is very unforgiving to low levelled and new players. Not as much as Arena is, but certainly less so than Morrowind.

Not when you start and not if you're a mage. Warrior or burglar is probably the best class. I'd say burglar because you get more luck and are better at stealing stuff but can wear more armor than thieves. Anyway once you're about level 8 the only things that are challenging are rarer enemies like Daedra Lords and certain types of werewolves.
I also think names like Venom have changed to names like Arucard.
It should be renamed from difficulty to annoying. Annoying in you just spend a few more days training and it's just as easy. I guess I could try fighting him without ever levelling up. But then I would just die which is also boring.
