That's not stopping me from farting when I'm all alone and finding amusement in it.
Although many parts of social acceptability don't make sense, not farting is part that does. Farting is offending to others around you sense of smell, so, unless your with someone who is expected, or willing accepts tolerating your waste (technically what it is xD), showing self reserve with gas makes sense.

Technically that's natural. But in society it's expected people show restraint and stop their natural habits to be socially acceptable.
It's not really natural to let it all out at once whenever it comes though. :rolleyes2
