Is it sad that, the second my character popped into the world, I knew exactly where I was and trotted straight north to the cemetery to kill skeletons? And I forgot how fun it is to tame random animals. Yay! You're sad for not playing this yet.
That scene is the only one that still affected me when I last read the series. So awful. Anyway, the 5th book is very meh. It has some interesting parts, but it also tries to pointlessly develop minor characters by giving you their perspective for a bunch of chapters, which is so godawful boring it hurts. The book's main worth, as far as I'm concerned, is setting up FotF. And yes, I am well aware of your status as a horrible person. The last dungeon in FFXIII is so obnoxiously pointless, though, I can't really blame you. The story at parts made me want to punch something. I beat the game last week and am now doing postgame crap, which is entertaining (and challenging).
I have like 20 pages left. But, yes, I imagine I know exactly which scene you're talking about. I'm sure I'll start the next book tonight. I got to the last dungeon and then haven't played FFXIII for like two weeks. I am a horrible person.
Ahaha. Did you finish TotW? Do you see what I mean about MOST DISTURBING SCENE EVER? I still haven't gotten around to following my own advice about the UO shard; I'm still working on FFXIII. Maybe I'll mess around with it some this weekend. I know Doomy, at least, was playing on it a bit, and some others expressed some interest. I do miss old school UO (T2A), so I'm going to have to at least give it a try.
Alright, I'm finally looking into that UO thing you sent me two weeks ago, now that my crush on Drefan has been destroyed.
