  1. It's a short game, thankfully. But one that I really loved. The demon loyalty mechanic is fantastic, imo. ALso, I like how they handle alignment - mechanically, that is, because there is no story alignment, whcih is fine
  2. Yeah, I'm digging the 90s X-Files vibes as well with this entry. I'll probably be a little slow on this one sadly since I'm still working on NaNo and part of me is also thinking of starting Tactics Ogre finally.
  3. Yeah, I liked that about SQQ too! Glad to hear it was a cool experience for you regardless of all the dumb stuff that happened along the way

And yeah, I definitely love the Devil Summoner subseries and wish we had more of it. Too bad we'll most likely never see a Western release of the first game. At least I still have the Raidou games to look forward to!

I really like they fact that they didnt change too much - all the cutscenes, for example, are retain in their corny 90s glory of literally surfing through the Internet. In some ways it does give me an X-Files vibe, even if only with the atmosphere of the lighter episodes
  4. I said she was calm actually. Cool learning that this simple question changes her skill set. So far it's been amusing cause you can easily tell this was a Sega Saturn title but it's trying really hard to upgrade it, similar to the PSP ports of P1 and 2. I still like the visual style though, I'm on the first Dream Quest.

I've decided that Devil Summoner was Atlus' experimental MegaTen division as these games try way more new ideas and gameplay mechanics than the mainline series or even Persona eventually.

Then ending was interesting since it feels like it segues back into the SEBEC arc. I beat the final boss much like you did with MC using Lilim and Eriko using Armarati to no sell all of the bosses attacks. The final story Personas are all kind of worthless against this boss which I sort of expected to happen when I looked at their weakness spread. SQQ is definitely where you go for the challenge of the game and it makes trying to acquire some of the higher tier Personas more worthwhile. The party I used was interesting, but not necessarily ideal in terms of conversations sadly. My favorite of the Ultimate Personas for the party are still Durga for Yukki and Michael for Eriko.
  5. YAAAAS SOUL HACKERS

Btw, please do yourself a favor and tell Spooky (I think it was Spooky) that you think Hitomi is sexy.

And how did finishing P1 feel?
  6. Oh, I have finished Persona 1 and I started Soul Hackers.
  7. I will definitely check it out.
  8. I think I've mentioned this to you but haven't linked it

So basically this is the thing where Lindsay Ellis and some friends banded up to write a very collaborative stealth parody of YA paranormal romance novels. In the end, they made the book basically Twilight with Cthulhu. The episodes in this series are very short and I highly recommend you watch them since just seeing the process of this brainstorming and how the concept evolves is hilarious. Also, just mocking everything about Twilight etc. Ooh, and later it becomes a book club of sorts, so that's cool
  9. Never turn down a paid gig.
  10. Ah, well. The upside is extra money!
