Okay. Still feeling under the weather. Reading my substance abuse textbook. Chapter 1 was history, now it is Chapter 2 which is the actual physiological effects and stuff. It's crazy how addiction affects your brain. Like, insane. They did a study on rats and human where they would activate one of the main areas that addiction triggers by stimulating it when the rats and people would press a button. And they would press that button repeatedly, not stopping, at the expense of everything else. At the expense of food, water, sleep, everything. The rats even died because they neglected everything else (they didn't let it get that far with humans). It's insane
