True I don't think you sound like a dick. I mean, in certain contexts it may seem a bit cold, but overall you come across as fun and easy-going, do don't force yourself into using smileys when it doesn't feel natural. And yeah, I totally use way more smileys than most people here.
Lots of people on here use smileys, so I doubt you come across as annoying to any of them. Truth be told, I need to stop giving a trout what I sound like.
I have the opposite problem. I think I use way too many smileys, but Ik not even trying, it just comes out naturally. IRL I use big wide gestures when I speak. You'd say I was Italian, not Polish. Now that you put it that way, I'm worried I come across as annoying
Nah, I've actually been trying to come across as less of a dick. I just hate using smileys nine times out of ten because they come across as annoying and condescending to me, so I end up sounding harsher than I really am. I'd do the HK-47 thing and state my tone of address at the beginning of each sentence, but that would just be annoying.
Also, even if it's just you and me, XII is still on your "top" list.

Your opinion wasn't quite as widely unpopular, though. XIII is widely reviled, while X is one of the most beloved titles. XII is considered kinda "meh" nowadays.
That's okay. I rated FFX five places over FFXII. I'd say we're even.
