Oh I'm playing Ape Escape 3. It's a silly platformer game where you catch monkeys who are taking over the broadcast TV stations and turning people in to mindless couch potatoes. It's about as serious as it sounds but it's cute and fun
Well, I might try it some day. Though I did promise Karifean Umineko would be my next VN, after my VN burnout passes XD (Unless Danganronpa 3 or Zero Escape 3 comes out first ) And what's this Ape Escape? Heard about it, but never played.
I mean I'm really enjoying it so far. Karifean generously gifted it to me for Christmas and I've been taking part in the bookclub, so I was following a specific walkthrough to get the "true endings". I haven't done them all yet because I actually just now caught up with the bookclub, but so far so good. I'm actually going to do a playthrough with options I would pick without a walkthrough now, to see which (bad) ending I'll end up with, since I have a week to finish the next "true ending" storyline. So far I think the writing is solid, the music is good, the visuals are overall pretty good (although the faces sometimes look weird/off). Really how good it is depends on the storyline you play through and what you think of it. SO FAR I am not liking most of the romances I've had (except one), but the stories told ASIDE from the romances were overall really good. If that makes sense. And there are some storylines that don't have a romance at all
And how's Clannad? People keep saying it's so good, but it all sounds like super sappy and I've discovered such things don't do anything for me unless they're really genuine, which is surprisingly hard to come by
