Denna is indeed pretty awesome, and the books make her (and all Mord-Sith) REALLY sadistic and dominatrix-like.

Just wait until you meet Denna. The Mord-Sith are WAY more intense in the books, which were not just written to satisfy low-standard TV watchers who needed action and eye-candy every 3 seconds. But also, Goodkind was playing it safe the first couple of books until he made a name for himself, then he really started doing whatever the hell he wanted (which has its good and bad consequences - the last four books in the series being a very bad consequence).
TV-Zedd is nothing but a cockblocking skank. I like the TV show better overall so far--everything's more intense.
Haha, that part struck me as a bit much. I know people can be convinced of a lot of things, but really? SOMEONE in that group shouldn't have fallen for it. However, it does help show how book-Zedd is way more awesome than TV-Zedd (Richard and Kahlan actually weren't done badly, especially Kahlan).
