Well, that's more understandable than not being able to get into the Tales of games. I mainly like VP1 because of its gameplay, so if you don't get into that, then there's not a whole lot else. Lezard Valeth is an interesting villain too I guess, but that's about it.
I actually couldn't get into Valkryie Profile.
i just remembered another PS1 RPG that's worth mentioning: Valkyrie Profile 1! Don't know if you've played it, since it got a PSP remake too. But yeah... that's a PS1 RPG that's at least worth a look. It's quite different from most (though the voice acting isn't always the best, to say the least. But at least the main character, whom you'll hear the most, has one of the better voice actors). But yeah... that and Alundra are the only ones I can think of for now.
To be honest, I didn't play a whole lot of noteworthy PS1 RPGs other than FF, Suikoden and Lunar. PS2 was where everything happened, basically. And I kinda figured you weren't much into the platformers and such. I do remember that I kinda liked Alundra though. It basically has the same play-style as Zelda: A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana and so on. Top-view action RPG with puzzles and stuff basically. So you might give that a shot, if nothing else.
I'm still missing some of the PS1 RPG's actually. I've played no Suikoden game other then IV, I missed out on a couple of the SRPG's as well. Not a fan of most non-rpg playstaion games actually.
Hmmm, I would normally have recommended the Lunar games. But now I know you are one of the few who have actually played those, so... let's see. Any specific genre? I'm pretty sure you've already played all the PS1 RPGs I've played that are worth mentioning. And other than that, I've mostly played platformers and stuff like Crash Team Racing/Crash Bash etc.
Perhaps I should do another playtrhough of an old PS1 classic I missed out on soon? Or perhaps one I did play, but don't remember too well? Any suggestions on this one shads? My head has Legend of legaia and Suiokden 2 turning in it right now.
