The stock market is also a form of gambling, really. I would only invest in something I was guaranteed to get my money back on. I will not be investing into any causes but my own at the moment. Again, I need money in the short term, not the long term, so investing also means that I will not get anything worthwhile out of it that quickly.
How long had you been working? Adult of our age are bound to have more or less money enough for small investments! To get money in short run, maybe you can try the stock market! My friend did invest in stock, he is like alway on his laptop looking at the statistics. Since you like statistics, I think that really suits you! Rantzien and I made a EoFF X-mas sig!!! That would only work if I win, and the lottery is designed so that you are more likely to lose than to win. I dislike the idea of gambling, and I don't imagine myself ever doing it in the near future. Maybe if I was rich, so I could afford to lose money. As for investing, I don't have the money to invest in the first place, and I don't need money in the long run, I need money in the short run (next 12 months would do it, easily, likely even less than that). I'm confident I can get money in the long run but by then I will, well, have the money anyway.

Hard up on cash and, because of that, hard up in other areas too. But that's the world these days, I guess. But I can't complain about my love life - I could do with a few more offline friends but having said that, I don't have much time at the end of the days to spend with a lot of them anyway. You'd think that would mean I wanted less hours at work, but it's kind of like spending time with friends there anyway as I get along with a lot of people there. So it all evens out, really! Social life is work life and love life for me. Money is all that's low!

Lately? About a million quid would do me pretty good. This might sound like I only care for money, but on the contrary, I just happen to have what I need in most other areas. And what areas I lack in, money can solve the problems!
