Conversation Between Fynn and Wolf Kanno

  1. Where is this optional dungeon and what is it called?
  2. You're going to need to spend time in the optional dungeon to get Vishnu, as they are a few unique demons in there you won't encounter on the map from what I hear.

Honestly, depending on your temperament, I would probably save the SQQ for another day. Not because it's hard, but because I do feel that it's really easy to get yourself burned out on this entry.
  3. If all goes well, I'll jump right into the SQQ after this playthrough. From what I checked, the SEBEC route is pretty short and I'm kind of slowly nearing the end? I still want Vishnu, though, so I'll probably need to spend some time grinding...
  4. Oh Michael...

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel about P1, no where near as good as some games in the franchise, but there is something addicting about it, and the cast isn't that bad either once you get used to their abrasive attitudes. My Snow Queen Quest, basically has me rolling with the cast of Mean Girls. If I replaced the MC with Nanjou, I would have every prick in the party, and it makes the conversations with the bad guys just funnier cause this party gives no smurfs.

I remember the last dungeon being a bit of a doozy, as well as the world of the unconscious (can't remember it's name) but the seriously clever dungeons are in the Snow Queen Quest.
  5. pffff

    (SPOILER)
  6. It's definitely grown on me, now that I have a focus and know what I'm doing. It's weird. As I'm playing it, all the criticism I had of it still stand - the plot is stupid, the dungeons have pretty terrible designs compared to SMT1, Strange Journey and Soul Hackers, and the battle system is a hot mess, and I still believe SMT1 has aged waaaaay better despite being an older game. But, with that said, I'm just enjoying myself way more. Also, the character interactions are pretty amusing. Mark and Nanjo are the perfect comedic duo. I ship them hard.

For a moment I was worried I wouldn't be able to complete my Vishnu run because Kuchisake-onna would not respond to anything with eagerness, but then I got lucky on one battle and all was good. Too bad I'm now having the same problem with Orthrus, but I'm hoping I can get over that too. Btw, after grinding a bit more at the Lost Forest before leaving it, I now have zero problems recruiting anyone in Mana Castle, though Nanjo is still lagging far behind. Speaking of, Mana Castle was a fairly enjoyable dungeon, but way less complex than Kama Palace, which surprised me. Am I correct in assuming that they made the middle dungeon the most complex one in the game? That doesn't seem like a smart choice.

Also, I think you'll be pleased to hear that I've actually moved along with my project. My fanfic is coming along and I should be able to post some more of it once I get a working internet connection at home!
  7. Oh yes, I do not converse with the MegaTen fanbase at all. I've already dealt with the toxic FF and Xeno fan-bases for years, I don't need to deal with a new one.

I could have sworn that negotiations are based on the negotiators level, but I could be wrong. Sadly, it's hard to find good information on Persona 1 because it's the black sheep of the franchise.
  8. Ugh. So I went to the MegaTen reddit. Not sure if it's reddit in general or just the SMT fanbase but holy crap those people are terrible.
  9. Well that's cool, then! Fingers crossed!

As for my Persona 1 progress, I've reached the Lost Forest. The Black Market was probably the most convoluted dungeon so far, so it was a good thing I played it on a Sunday and could do it all in one go. Managed to get all the demons I encountered so far, but I've noticed that I'm hitting walls at the start of each dungeon and need to grind in order to get the demons to like me. Nanjo is lagging behind and I think it's his fault. If I'm not mistaken, it's the average level that matters in the case of demons giving cards, right?

Also, managed to get my first Fool persona! Of course, I used an exploit, because lol, fusion accidents. In any case, he's awesome. Strong against all? Yes please!
  10. Funny how we were just talking about this, but Trisha and the Golden Playhouse Segment from Catherine just got used again for another Atlus promotion, with a hint at the end that she might show up again in the future.
