Welp. writing has commenced!
Good to know.
Actually, Genocide is by far the more challenging run. It just doesn't mean anything at all if you haven't done Pacifist first. Also, clearing Genocide first alters your game files and makes you unable to ever get the True Pacifist run ever again. Yes, it's that kind of game.
I plan on doing a Pacifist run the first time. Usually cause it's more challenging.
Just please don't kill anyone. God is watching Also yaaaaaay because Undertale may actually low key be my number 2
I actually started Undertale a little while ago, but it may be awhile before I get back to it.
You should like Undertale then. It has a unique boss theme for every boss battle, and there aren't so many random battles for this short a game for the regular theme to grow too stale. Check out my Undertale boss battle thread and have a listen if you'd like, btw
My brain usually shuts off during battles, so it usually has to be special for me to notice it. I think it's why I like MegaTen's battle themes because they use different ones depending on the place of type of boss, so they tend to have a lot of variety. If it's just one or two themes I'm going to have to listen to for the next 20-60 hours, I'll eventually just start ignoring it subconsciously.
Well, for me it's like, if I'm gonna hear it a thousand times in the game, it better be good. And, however hit or miss they may be, the DQ battle themes are some of the most interesting one structure-wise.
I kind of like the fact the FF ones have a similar bass line for the first few entries, but I can see how a distinct theme would be appealing. Course battle themes rarely stand out for me.
