Yelling and stamping my feet seems the only way to get attention. It's frustrating and defeats my desired appearance of that cool calm and collected operator, but I'm more interested in getting the job done rather than keeping up appearances

I'm exactly the same. I mean, I just want to live somewhere, have a place where I can say "yes this is my home and I like it" because I've not had that yet. Income isn't even really a worry, I mean I would like to get a gig at a games store except smurf they're never hiring and despite my pretty decent knowledge I can't ever get my foot in the door. I think he wrote that one about Jam apocalypse or whatever. I'm gonna go and buy his two books because why the hell not. I like your idea though, we should totally think about starting up our own angry review thing. book deals would be sweet
haha yeah man that's what i want to do eventually as well, the creative writing side of things. but I always procrastinate on it because of trying to get so much other stuff in my life in order. like I have this idea that I shouldn't start doing anything like that until I have got some kind of stable environment and income set up before doing it. it's a pain in the arse career path we've chosen to head into. funny you should mention yahtzee, i was actually in a book store the other day looking for new books and I saw a novel he'd apparently written. second one or something like that. who knew that moaning about video games on the internet could open those kinds of doors. maybe we should start a website where we piss and moan about everything and maybe we'll get book deals too.
I've been thinking about doing some kind of computer science degree just to get a job in that field anyway 'cause writing in it doesn't interest me. I've been thinking that my only real shot at writing is to be like Yahtzee because I reckon I can bitch and complain pretty entertainingly. But yeah I can't really do anything else except wait and try to write trout as often as I can. For the moment though I'm gonna give the creative writing side a go and so I've been working on things and trying to actually read for the first time in a long time.
also yeah that's fair jews really, can imagine it would be frustrating. You got a degree in Journalism right? Not sure what your uni lecturers have told you about post degree life but from what I was told back when I was doing it, if you're serious about getting into journalism then it's good to have some kind of specialist knowledge to back you up whenever you get around to trying to apply for jobs. So mebbe if you can be arsed it would be worth looking into getting a masters in something, if there are any you're interested in and eligible for. My lecturers always told me that with so many people trying to get into journalism these days potential employers would always be more likely to go for the guy who had specialist knowledge in, say, law or religion or even film (if you're desperate xD) or something like that. sure doing a masters would be a bitch but yeah, just something to consider dude.

man they were airing Sons of Anarchy on the real tv but then my tv decided it wasn't going to get a signal for free tv any more and it's not smurfing on paid tv so I don't even. I gotta go and download it as well though 'cause it's been great from what I saw as well. Just need real internet for all of that first. smurf xD I've got, uh, nothing lined up yet. Depends on mum's health/where we move/etc etc so I'm basically stuck until things unravel for me. Bit frustrating though. I'm gonna ask about a bigger character limit again.
that, I am up to date with and oh god I need more people to fanboy over it with because it is seriously the best ever. 4 seasons are on netflix UK, 5th season I can get torrents of. hell I would hook you up with torrents of all seasons if that's what it would take.
