Excellent, excellent. I'm super keen on the whole helping my bros out thing so I would love to be of assistance and would shamelessly take advantage of your prowess too
That sounds great bro. I'll do the same for you once Hux and I are super famous authors
I was thinking about you a whole bunch today because one of the features series that ran in this magazine recently was a guy playing through Deus Ex for the first time and just, like, talking about it. I mean he's a great writer sure but god. If not for the fact that this is an Australian magazine I would have suggested you pitch something because like smurf you're pretty knowledgeable about stuff, including some super niche areas, and you've had loads of experience even if you don't have the formal training so like keep it in mind and once I make international connections I'm gonna be trying to hook you up babe
Ahhhh that's awesome I'm so happy for you
Picked up another magazine today that I'm gonna start pitching to. I'm limited because of stupid government crap (I can't freelance properly because then I'm self employed and the government tells me to smurf off and earn my own way) but I can hopefully double my income/publishing chances. I'm like three from three issue wise, unless you want to get fancy about the fact that I had three previews in the special feature thing I feel totally in my element it's smurfing brilliant.
Your credentials are awesome, bro. Loving how you're in magazines and stuff now. That's so cool!
I hope at that point my extensive credentials will make me a viable candidate again I'm holding faith too, not just because that would be awesome, but because I need to know that the thing I dedicated most of my time to for most of my life is not going to end as a pile of trout
I still hold out hope that someday SquareEnix and Final Fantasy will make an amazing comeback and turn us into the powerhouse we were born to be
I think the fact that it's been a struggle at times lends it more value. Like, everyone has worked hard to get what we have. The vB4 upgrade was a gigantic pain in the ass. The frontsite staff are continually upping the standards (though oh boy sometimes I want to get out my red pen and edit those typos and grammar mistakes) and even if EoFF will never be a news powerhouse, it's still something that we can all be proud of.
Yeah, things have been feeling good. EoFF will never be 100% what we all individually want it to be but I think there have been a lot of good steps in a better direction!
