No bell peppers, we have capsicum. Tomato sauce, not ketchup, though at least people will know what you're on about when you say ketchup. Chips, not fries, but again, fries works in a lot of places. There are so many more but I can't even remember them xD
I'll definitely have to do that, then! And like shrimp being called prawns?
Things will probably taste a little different. First thing you gotta do is go to McDonald's and get a burger 'cause your beef is corn fed and ours are grass fed so the taste is actually noticeably different. On top of that you're gonna have to get used to things having different names.
Like the food, I wanna try the food :o
Oh yeah, it should be a really valuable experience for you. Even in places that don't seem so different from each other you still find slight differences that make exploring fun
That's just so weird to me but that's the cool thing about different countries and cultures :o it should be fun to visit!
Nope, not really. I mean, they exist in some places, but they're not in schools or anything. Most of the things that you are familiar with don't exist here xD no cheerleaders, no marching bands, very minimal school-tied sports - the good stuff is all independently run. It was super crazy for me to go over there and experience all these things that I was kinda missing out on!
