  9. Maybe you were lucky enough to not need to use health services at this point in your life but I know plenty of people who did need it and would not have been able to afford it. A friend of mine had cancer at 16. My uncle got kicked in the face by a horse and needed a face reconstruction. He would've been about mid 30s at that point. Point is, there is no harm in being prepared. Health is not something you want to gamble on. I can clearly see your point and in most cases I would agree but health is not an area we will meet eye to eye on

    if they were privatized the cost would go down bc nobody can afford 100,000$ for a weekend emergency room stay due to internal bleeding (for ex....go ask meghan brown from nikki's wall), so it would be adjusted for what can be affordable, not what can be paid.

    It's all theory though. I don't think we've had a single pure market economy country in history.
