Hahaha, I thought I was hallucinating at first when I saw the pokemon pics
So I have this idea for a pokemon fanfic in my head, and I was picturing a scene where this one guy was arguing with my main character, and I pictured the guy eventually spouting off something about the world being cruel. I think your "Cruel World" theme inspired a part of that character's personality, as cliche as it is.
