  1. I don't know. I hate fighting. But I scare myself sometimes with how heated I get with things. I hold my feelings very dearly.

Probably best to just ignore me. Let me say my piece, and completely ignore it. I don't know that I can back down on these things once confronted.
  2. Is there some way we can work things out in terms of debating? Maybe we just shouldn't, but I'm hoping we can both come to an understanding that keeps the frustration to a minimum.
  3. Don't worry man. No hard feelings here. All is forgiven.
  4. Sorry, dude. I've been an ass lately. And, yes, a bigot. My ideas aren't going to change due to Academia, so I'm going to try to avoid the politics aspects from now on. I'm just upsetting people and making an ass of myself. Hope you can forgive me, and check out my new post in Academia. I'm trying to have more reasonable discussions there.
  5. I'm done for tonight, dude. Have a good one. Here's to hoping the violence doesn't get worse.
  6. Yeah, read my last post in the thread about this stuff. I'm done debating these things with you man. There's no point. As if constantly getting into circular arguments with a lack of credible evidence, or even logical arguments (the fact that Trump has been able to say everything he has, get media coverage everyday since his campaign began, and become a presidential nominee proves that free speech is not being denied anyone because they say things that are disagreed with by a majority of the population), with you isn't bad enough, I'm not going to engage anymore with someone who decides to call me an idiot because I argue against an immoral man like him and disagree with you.

I'm done. Kindly drop this subject with me. You want to talk about anything else then that's perfectly fine but I have better things to do than sit here watching us both repeat ourselves until the end of time.
  7. Liberals aren't the ones having a peaceful meeting and being beaten and having their property destroyed, while the media SUPPORTS those actions and the police do nothing for more than an hour.

You may find it offensive, but you and your culture are smurfing TERRIFYING. And I'm sick of being afraid to say so.
  8. To me, the best multiplayer is co-op. I don't like testing my skills against others (at least partially because I really suck), or treating them like a job. I play them to relax, so I don't like pushing to the absolute edge in beating out other players. But pitting me and friends against a psychotic AI? Yes, please.
  9. Yeah, I'm thinking a new graphics card will be what ends up on the old Christmas list for my parents this year unless i decide to save for one sooner. Christmas is more likely though. I've got tools and materials i still need to buy and a new card isn't urgent. My old one is still running fine, it's just not quite up to running anything as graphically intensive and recent as Doom. On the plus side, maybe I'll be able to get that on sale by then for a decent price. Win win.

And i honestly only care for the single player in this game. I've heard there's at least a multiplayer mode that let's a person on the team become a demon so maybe I'll fool around a little bit with it, but that deathmatch arena style online play never appealed to me too much. Always preferred things that are team based and a lot more varied if I'm going to get into multiplayer for very long. Stuff like Counter-Strike or Team Fortress can hold my attention for years, but for some reason i almost find deathmatch too chaotic. I like having a team that can watch my back a bit i guess.
  10. TotalBiscuit's "I'm going to gush about the Doom single player for 20 minutes" video got me hooked. I'm not much one for the competitive side of gaming, but the single player is plenty, and this one looks amazing. I'll be sure to check out Mr. Sterling's (I like Jimquisition, but haven't subscribed to it for some reason).

If cost is a concern, the cheaper NVidia 1070 is going to retail for $380, and still offer performance upgrades, even over the Titan X and the 980ti Gaming (the premium cards of last year). And it's only a wait of two weeks after the 1080 comes out before it arrives.
