I took a bunch of shots of scenery from my last college. I found the environment interesting. Also, I had wanted to make suggestions on how the place might look even better, but I never got around to that. I don't know if I still have those pictures. I'll have to do some digging in my computer.

I don't know about pretty, but I'm okay in front of the camera. I've picked up my dad's habit of taking a lot of pictures of people I care about, particularly candid shots. As often as I'm annoyed that my dad take so many pictures, I still tend to act surprised when people get annoyed with me taking so many pictures. Well, by people, I mean my ex-girlfriend as she was the only person I really took pictures of besides a couple of other friends. But I do take pictures of myself sometimes, experimenting with angles and lighting to find out whether or not I'm at all photogenic. For the most part, no not really. lol
Since like you have met quite a handful of Asians in your life. As for the souls sucking thingy, maybe they are just camera shy! You are pretty ok infront of the camera?
I've tried adjusting the lightning in photos of me or family. It turns to crap usually. Of course, I don't have Photoshop. I have Photoimpression which apparently nobody has ever heard of. You look Asian in your photos. That would make you the third "Friend" I have online who I found out was Asian. In reality, a good chunk of my family is Asian. Another chunk is trailer Latino. The rest is distilled German liquor. I've only ever met a few Asians in college. Two of the guys befriended me meanwhile all of the girls were well hidden. I saw a video clip spliced together by a student for a school project and a bunch Asians answered questionnaires. The guys were blatant but the girls were shy, treating the camera lens as if it may steal their soul. It was weird. Oh! I also met a Filipino girl in high school. My mom wished I had married her. That's the Asian chunk in my family: Filipino.
