Rarity is tied for my second favourite pony.
Well, shows you how good my memory is. And thank you, it's a bit crunched, since I just used Gimp to resize the image I found (And add the text), but I then I go lazy and didn't bother to make it look less scrunched.
It was from a while ago when I said that you have a heart of gold but you didn't like hearing that, so we both agreed that you had a heart of silver. I'm doing good, but my co-op job from college is starting to require a bit too much waiting on others when it comes to checking blueprints I draw. By the way, I like the fabulousity of your sig and avatar.
I haven't the slightest Idea what Silver-hearted means, but I'm not doing to shabby. Haven't seen you around for a while though. How are things?
How's my favourite silver-hearted friend doing?
It's too bad they've removed the DQV style of monster recruiting from DQVI. There's some monsters like the Boss Troll, Wind Mage, and Lamp Demon that I'm going to miss being able to use. At least slimes are still obtainable as characters, and the Liquid Metal Slime won't be as big of a pain to recruit. I can't really speak for the final boss for the DS Version, but on the SNES he takes me really long to defeat every time I face him. It's really bad to the point where I feel like I'm doing nothing to him, and I should restart and train some more so I can do more damage than he's recovering (I never do restart though). It might take me a while to get DQIX, but I will hopefully be able to play it eventually.
I don't really like using monsters that don't cap out at level 99, but the Orc King does sound like a worthy investment from what you said (I've never been able to recruit one though), and the Golem is quite a popular choice from what I hear online. One thing I really want to try out is a Conk team (Conkuistador, Conkerer, Conkuisitor, and Conkjurer), just because it seems like fun having a team full of midget people. I really like the whole monster recruiting part of the game, to the point where I'd actually raid the Briscoletti's house and steal their Zenithian Shield if that was an option. That way, I'd never have to use a single human character (besides the main character) ever again and I can have an team with only monsters (and the main character) without feeling guilty about leaving out my wife, my children, etc.
And since it wouldn't let me tag on this last part, cause it made my message to long, are you getting DQ IX? I paid my copy off already.
No, Deberah wasn't the only reason. And it's been a while, but I remember using Golem, Slime, Slime Knight, and Orc Chieftain as well as my family. I had Orc Chieftan due to his sick healing prowess, Slime for a decent healer and buffer, as well as decent attack, and overall decent stats, Slime Knights for the purpose of offence and support healing, and Golem because he's a damend beast. I mean really, his meditate is insanely powerful. The biggest dissapointment was the last boss in that game though. I remember playin VIII first for a freakishly hard fight, that I felt accomplished for barely pulling out a victory, one hit away from death myself. This dude? I went in with my Chieftan out of mana entirely, none of my human characters had more then half MP, all of my items were in by pack so I couldn't use them, and I still managed to beat both parts of the fight. It was close, but I went in at less than half strength.
Since you're a big fan of DQV (Deborah alone not being the only reason, hopefully), I was wondering what monsters you used in your playthrough as serious team members. The ones I'm using so far (up to the part where I'm going to the mountain to go to the hero's castle where he was born. It was called Granvania in the SNES Version though I forget what it was for the DS Version.) are a Slime Knight, Slime, Brownie (I don't think I've ever done a playthrough without one as a serious team member), Saber, Heal Slime (it took so long to get), and Dracky.
