I understand. I think the thread was pretty respectful overall though so yay for us!
The creation of such threads don't bother me. It's the guilt tripping and misuse of them that bug me. The lack to face to face does that to people. I am also just very cynical about gaming culture in general right now for a multitude of reasons.
