Omg, this download is taking FOREVER. Been downloading for most of the day and it's at 1%! Also I have a feeling this game is going to be bad for my social life.
Once you get all that set up the easiest way to find fan-made stuff (especially hair) is by browsing here, but don't go crazy 'cause things can get complicated pretty fast.

Ok, Sims 3 it is!
Well, two you play one house at a time and three you play one house but the whole city is going at once and you do a lot more out-of-the-house stuff. Three doesn't have any pets or seasons yet, but they do have cities and vacations to France and Egypt and China that I thought were fun to play.
I don't know! Haven't played Sims since like, middle school.
