Found this cool channel btw There's also a video about how CT's soundtrack is the perfect example of non-functional harmony I mean, I find it interesting. I think even if you aren't familiar with music theory, this still gives you a greater appreciation of the composers

I need to see Solaris. And yeah, this movie is also based on a novella and apparently the author really enjoyed the adaptation. Aside from being very fascinating on the sci-fi level, it's just a fantastic movie overall. Its filmed in an incredibly clever way and you can feel ots about so much more than just the surface text. So if you ever get a chance, check it out!
Oh I remember now, yeah that did look interesting. Reminds me how I wanted to read Solaris a few years back after watching the George Clooney film based on it.
It's a sci-fi flick with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. It's about a peaceful alien invasion. The main character is a linguist and it's awesome to see how they use actual, well-researched linguistics to show how we would go about communicating with aliens. And these are some very alien aliens.
