  1. So apparently chapter 2 and 3 of the Witcher may be COMPLETELY different depending on who you align yourself with, including the places you'll visit and the people you meet, and apparently you need to play both to get the full story. No neutral path this time, sadly.
  2. Yeah, I can definitely see the draw of both.
  3. It's battle system pretty much feels like what would happen if Capcom came in to tweak Dark Souls combat for a Devil May Cry game that will never see the light of day. It stripped away some of the customization from Dark Souls, but it's due to wanting the battle system to be more aggressive and active as opposed to Dark Souls "wait and poke" tactics it usually requires you to learn. The gameplay for both is actually fun.
  4. I mean, I get that you can always browse a wiki, but the impact is lost. As a book reader, I appreciate that no energy is wasted on exposition that would just tell me what I know already, but I imagine it could be frustrating if you had to resort to wikis to get the full story.

The last game that focused more on lore than an actual plot that I played was Morrowind which was... okay for me. I liked the world but really hated the battles and the fact that the game made me nauseous with its camera movement and muted colors, but it was pretty enjoyable. I just do t get why people revere it so much. But Bloodborne looks like it has a much more engaging battle system, so I hope it'll help me get more invested!
  5. Well there are Wiki-s to give you a rundown for characters. I resorted to a few to fill me in on ME3.

Yeah, I hope you get a chance to play Bloodborne as well. The art and music direction are top notch and I love the story. Of anything, the "Lore Approach" actually works better for giving it a Lovecraftian feel. The lore videos I've found on Youtube are pretty awesome as well.
  6. I actually have some big spoilers So don't worry about it I'm glad you liked Bloodborne so much! Hope I get to play it someday!

Meanwhile, the Witcher 2 is drawing on the books more and more to the point that it actually feels like an actual continuation at this point. And honestly, I have no idea how people can enjoy this game without book knowledge because the game just assumes you've read it and spends no time explaining who people like Ciri or Yennefer are. I've also gotten the hang of the more active battle system to the point that I was thinking of raising the difficulty... that is, until I faced my first huge boss monster. It took loads of trial and error, but it was pretty cool.
  7. I'll do my best to not spoil anything for you. Bloodbonre was a blast though, but I'm kind of happy to be moving back to something a little slower paced.
  8. Everyone is starting Persona 5 but me

But no! I'm not gonna let that ruin my mood! The Witcher 2 is fantastic and this weekend I saw two of my best friends get married and the reception was the most amazing party I've ever been to! I will NOT be crying over Persona 5
  9. Bloodborne is done. I even got the most Lovecraftian ending. I'll start Persona 5 tomorrow.
  10. If your lucky, they'll just have a complex.
