  1. So what's Mahou Sensei Negima like?
  2. It's mostly because of Link's ridiculous appearance (a male elf in a miniskirt and pantyhose) and it's overratedness that make me hate Zelda so much.

Mario, I get where you're coming from, seeing as how there's too much Mario sport games (Mario Kart I'm more than okay with though since they started the kart racing genre and started it well) and too little Mario platforming games. I hope they eventually make a multiplayer game (2D or 3D) where you can have Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and them co-operating going through stages defeating Bowser.
  3. Eh, that's a shame. I'll admit I'm less than fond of the newer installments, seeing that I'm a pixel fetishist.

I'm still very fond of the original Zelda and Link to the Past, though.

But it's fine though-- my interest in Mario waned after the SNES era.
  4. Yeah, I first heard of Earthbound on SSB, and now it's my favorite SNES game.

    And which Nintendo series?
  5. Actually, seeing characters in Super Smash Bros. and not knowing who they are is how I get hooked onto different Nintendo game series like Fire Emblem, Earthbound, and F-Zero.

Although you probably wouldn't expect it from me there is actually one Nintendo game series I actually absolutely hate...
  6. Well, in the main game, you start with 3 lives (you can start with more in some of them, but it gives you a point penalty), and every time you get hit and don't have/don't use a bomb right as it happens (doing so spares you), you lose a life. However, in the video on my YouTube profile, I'm playing in Spell Practice mode. You have to survive the whole thing without dying, and you have no bombs. I personally think it's harder that way, which makes it seem more impressive.

I wondered who Capton Falcon was when I first got him on Super Smash Bros. (the original)-- and when I found out he was from a racing game I was all meeeeeeh~
  7. One hit kills you!? I thought you had health or something!! Now that I know that I'm starting to understand how hard it really is.

I also got addicted to F-Zero because I wanted to find out more about it (only knowing about Captain Falcon and the Falcon Punch wasn't enough for me). I like how they give each character unique backgrounds and motives. I mean, who'd think that bounty hunters, hit men, doctors, lords of evil, undead, science experiments, evil clones, time frozen victims, amnesia victims, and octopuses all participate in the F-Zero Grand Prix?
  8. That's sort of how I am with danmaku shmups. You have bullets coming at you in all directions in gorgeous patterns (see my YouTube profile for an example), and one hit means instant death. It's VERY intimidating until you learn the patterns and learn to focus only on what's important. It's a beautiful thing, really.
  9. I'm not that good at racing games either (especially F-Zero).

Even so, it's still quite fun to test yourself with something like F-Zero that you're not good at, going 1500 km/h, knowing that a single slip up will turn your car into a pinball, that messing up on a single jump will cost you the race, deciding whether or not you want to boost since it'll cost you your car's power (zero power = death). Although it's quite intimidating and scary I actually enjoy it because of that.
