Dunno. Was never really exposed to them before. Not a huge wrestling fan, in any form. It just always seemed to brutal and undisciplined for my taste. I prefer mind over matter.

So, the Litten evo is confirmed. It's everything I despise about the Fighting Type. Thuggish, dishonorable, bulky, ungraceful... I think part of why I like Psychic Types are because of the whole brain over brawn thing. Thinking things through, being logical and calculated. Something that kitties have always personified to me. And the wrestler cat is just the opposite of all that. Someone who likes hurting people just for the sake of it. Who feels that he's better than others because of how strong he is, and that brute force solves every problem. It's a mindset and a persona I saw way too much of growing up, and that I've always hated.

But what if this IS just a test to see how well the more mature take and the different art style resonate with audiences?
I still think it's sad this is as good as it will get when it comes to us getting a decent anime. I wish they'd just adapt Special. I mean, it's right there
Two more Generations episodes out. I think we're the only ones interested, though.
They're completely different. Not to mention they happened later. LoTR codified many fantasy tropes while The Witcher deconstructs many of them. While not really light, they're not as dark as LoTR and much less heavy, and not at all poetic, which isn't a bad thing. The fantasy world is an interesting blend of Slavonic and Anglo-Saxon folklore.
You seem so proud of that terrible movie. Glad to hear it, though. How do they compare to Lord of the Rings?
