Honestly, if you're really that interested in the second game, I say go ahead and play it. It's more extreme but still somewhat similar to reading Umineko before Higurashi which I think is a totally fine approach. Maybe at some point you'll play the first game and then return to the second game and catch up on the things you missed your first time around. ...well you'll have the first game completely and utterly spoiled for you though =P Edit: I can definitely see the pacing in reveals becoming a bit awkward near the end though where you're suddenly given a lot of backstory you're supposed to be familiar with through the first game and so it might feel like the game's rushing too much.

Well at least it's coming!
It has been announced along with Tomoyo After a while back. And Tomoyo After surfaced on Greenlight a while ago and is set for a summer release. On the other hand Little Busters is a much bigger novel so while it's definitely coming, it's probably gonna take some time.
Is there plans for it?
