I hate the term waifu. Anyway, it may still be an issue cause I'm pretty sure XCX has like three times the cast, so you may still feel like you need one more person.
But at least there is a four-member active party this time. So you can bring your waifu even if it isn't Elma or Lyn
I hear the game also has a massive cast of characters as well. Yeah, it kind of sucks when it feels like a few characters have to be in the party to get the most out of the story.
Which isn't really a bad thing, in theory. If you're just here for the main story, you can go, if you're here to explore the characters in depth, you can do that too. The only thing I'm miffed about is probably the fact that you have to bring both Elma and Lyn to every story mission. Not that I'm repelled by any of them or anything, but I like having variety in my party. I liked running around with Dunban, Riki, and Melia, for example. Through the Makna Wood. Wearing nothing but a couple of feathers to obscure our naught bits. Damn, those were the days.
I know how it is. From what I hear, the side missions contain a lot of the plot. Like main missions will open plot threads but they get tied up in the side missions instead.
My main take away is that what is there is good. Im just not expecting a tight narrative like the original's this time around. I hope that if I get prepared for a more loose adventure on Mira, I'll be fine. It also helps that I actually, you know, have it I'd love to play a ton of other games like P5 but like, I need a PS4. At least I'm pretty sure I can get Nocturne and the Raidou games fairly cheap, so I'll have those waiting for me on the PS2.
I'm probably a long ways off from getting a chance to see XCX. I'm psyched for mecha combat but not sure about the more broken down narrative.
We'll see. For now, I just hope to finally sink my teeth into X this August. That is, as long as I'm not too preoccupied with apartment stuff
True, but it depends on how much control he has. He's been taking a bit more of a backseat at Monolith Soft since the XenoSaga days.
True. Still, I have faith in Takahashi's. He knows how to do stuff
