  1. Btw, what is your least favorite airship theme, then?
  2. Yeah, I'm on the second to last chapter. It's been... interesting to say the least. I will at least say that as a game, barring a few irritations here and there, it works rather well.
  3. Let me know how you feel about XV overall once you're done with it, since you're pretty much near the end, from what I can tell
  4. I still feel it goes against the Riku established in KH1 who was more bravado and confidence. Not to mention that again, it wasn't like it brought up anything new, his whining about the Darkness lingering in his hear is no different in CoM as it was in 3D. I wouldn't even be surprised if he's still harping about it in KHIII when it comes around.
  5. I will concede that II's writing was disappinting. But I still think they unintentionally created something that really speaks to me, because sometimes you think you've dealt with something, but it turns out you weren't really ready for that.
  6. See I preferred his closure in CoM and I felt his relapse in KHII was uncharacteristic of him making the rest of his journey unnecessary padding because the writers couldn't think of anything better for him to do but wanted to keep him in the story. His time could have easily been diverted to people who desperately need better development, like Kairi.
  7. Idk, to me his relapse made sense. Though I'm not a fan of how KHII handled him, Days goes pretty deep into it. I honestly kind of like how this one problem of his is not easily resolved and when he finally gets closure in 3D, I found it very fulfilling
  8. That's a given, but I felt Riku resolved his problems back in CoM before KHII retcon it all away and brought him back to angst mode so we could stretch out his story for a few more games, just so he can relearn the lesson he learned previously.

He's basically Zero and Fou Lu, the angsty Lancer character the writing team likes more and they go out of their way to give him the better parts and sideline the actual main character cause they are boring standard Shonen Jump MC. Instead of deferring to the low hanging fruit, they could, you know, actually make the main character interesting.
  9. I think that's what 3D actually set up, however much you rag on it Riki's growth - which I have a very personal connection to - has been resolved while Sora got to experience his darkest hour. KHIII is gonna be Sora's resolution, I feel.
  10. I just don't like him and I kind of wish the series would quit throwing him in my face because a large part of the fanbase adore him. He's the Sasuke to Sora's Naruto and I just wish the wqriting team would put him aside so Sora can shine once again.
